“Fund-Raising Events” Matty Hatty Birthday Dance-a-thon 2007 This year's fundraiser was a huge success with over 20 schools throughout Rhode Island participating in the annual Matty Hatty Birthday Dance-a-thon fundraiser celebrating Matty’s birthday. The Foundation distributed “My Friend Matty” books to each school to educate and raise awareness about epilepsy in the classroom. During the dance-a-thon, the children danced wearing their favorite or silliest hats to symbolize Matty Hatty. Some schools wore hearts with Matty’s picture and other schools celebrated with cup cakes or ice-cream. Let us know if your school would like to participate.
